Rainy Day

So today is Thursday and it is raining and thunder is roaring. I like the rain, but not the thunder. thunder can worry me sometimes. I always wonder how it would feel if someone would have gotten hit by thunder, especially twice in the same place. I would be scared and freaked out. I am cold, but right now I am in class and don't even want to go outside to walk home. Oh man, I forgot that I have practice today. I wonder if we will be outside or in the gym. Or will we have practice at all. I think we will because we have a game on Friday at 7:00pm. I hope we do good because then there will be more tears upon the team mates. I don't want to see it because we try our best and can not win every game. Man football feels good to play. I like it allot.

"Two Kinds" Mother/ Daughter

There are two kinds of people, either they are one who follows or the one who is not a follower. In the story Two Kinds Jing Mie was a follower at one point, but then said to herself that I am not someone who will be bossed and told to be something that I do not want to be. Jing Mie's mother wanted her to become a prodigy that was going to be taken by music. Her mother hear a little girl playing the drums on T.V., she wanted Jing Mie to learn how to play the piano. Her mother was a house keeper that cleaned houses. So she got her into piano lessons with a old guy by the name of Mr. Chong. Mr. Chong was a retired piano teacher. He retired because he was deaf. Her mother payed by cleaning there house. She had lessons every day because her mother wanted her to perform in front of a crowd. The reason why she wanted her to become something was because in China you are not allowed to be known as someone, But in America you are able to be someone. She wanted the best for her daughter. The thing is that Jing Mie didn't think of it that way. She just thought that her mother wanted her be something that she didn't want to be. That brought up past arguments and fighting between one another. It was a horrible thing that Jing Mie said to her mother. After that her mother didn't bother with her. Didn't tell her anything. Later in life she thought to her self that she was a disappointment to her mother. Her mother did a lot for her. Working the the misery of the lost of two babies back in China. To me I think that Jing Mie's mother is correct. She just wanted the best for her daughter.

"Two Kinds" In the Shoes of a Prodigy

If someone was to tell me or push me to become a prodigy I would probably be OK with it at first, but then get frustrated. Maybe even to the point of hurting the person that pushes me to become something I don't want to be. The thing that people would push me to be is a artist. In my opinion I'm not that good of an artist. Things that can occur is yelling, arguing, and even throwing things like paintings. I would probably only yell and argue, none of the throwing paintings. That can hurt really bad, not even joking around. The final outcome of the problem is going to end up in forgiving one another no matter what.

What do I feel about my grade? Well I do some what deserve it, but I try to keep up. I'm just not good in English. English is not my subject as every one knows. I have this grade because I don't do my work. I slack on occasions, but not all the time. I probably try hard more in this class than any other class. My strengths in class is helping people around me and talking, which is bad most of the time. Most of my challenges that I face in class is the computer. I just think that computers have a thing for me. Or I just don't like them. I need to start doing my homework and classwork on time. Not waiting for the last moment. They can help me by studying more and keeping me on task. Even though they can't always be there for me, I need to pick it up and do what I need to do in class. They are not responsible for whether I want tot do my work or not. They are just there for support. Ms. Priester can help me by teaching me more about computers and telling me why computers don't like me. The grade that I hope to have by the end of this quarter is at least a high "C" or a low "B". Well That means that I have to step up to the plate.

"Two Kinds"

When I was about 7 years old my sisters wantted to put a dress on my brother. So at that time I thought that it would be pretty funny, but I really didn't want to becuase I know that he would probably be mad at me later. I found out that it really was at the end. So back to where I was. When my brother got up and went to clean his room, my sisters and I tacled him and tried to put one of my sisters dress on him. He was struggling and at one point he just gave up and we accomplished our goal. I felt bad because he was in a dress and one of my sisters video taped it. He was not mad and it turned out to be a funny christmas home video.

"Character Analysis of Broderick K."

I have a friend that I think of as athletic, funny and out going. The way he walks in the cafe in the morning and the way he comes into the class room is loud. He always has to have some kid of joke that make every one laugh. He is nice and helps people that want to get better at sports. Even though he can have at least one grade that is low. He is a good friend and a good person when he wants to be. In football he calls himself the BEAST. He is really good and can get competitive when he is on the field. He is loud and smart and can do what he sets his mind to. His name is Broderick.

I can't really say anything else to describe her. They are too alike to tell any difference.

Everyday Use

In the story Everyday Use Maggie was a person who was hard working. Her sister on the other hand was somewhat flashy looking. Perfect body and nice clothes, and nice feet. To Maggie when her sister came over and started to want things she was all frustrated that she would act that way towards her mother. When Dee wanted the quilts Maggie didn't want her to have them because it was the remembrance of her grandmother. Then at the end she told her that she could take them, she could remember her grandmother with out the quilt. They had a good sister moment.

9/11 paragraph

When 9/11 happened I was at my house with my brother and sister and my foster parents. I was about three to four years old. I remember because I was watching T.V with my sister on the couch. My foster parent came home and told us to turn the channel. They were so shocked and were silent for a moment. They were so scared because they had family down in New York. I couldn't really understand what was all the big commotion. At that point I didn't care, I didn't know what was happening. I was still a baby, well in my families perspective. I thought that I was a big girl, I thought I knew everything. Well I didn't I was acting like I knew what was going on. I tried acting all surprised and worried. I really didn't have a clue. It was a day of silence and every one had thought that it the Iraqi people who made that plane crash into the twin towers. Now in the present day there is a war going on and it is for no reason. Everyone was devastated because some lost family in the building. Now the twin towers are gone and there is no replacement. The people who lost family are not there with them. Now it was said that there was a bomb that was hidden in paint and made the bottom of the the building collapse. Some is still unknown and some of it is known.

Traditions and Hierlooms

When I grow up I want to have some of my old traditions that have been in my family for years. Two traditions that I have are to celebrate "The Day of the Dead," and also to have a family reunion for every one can catch up with one another. Some of our heirlooms that we would pass down is the family China Set for special occasions. We also pass the engagement ring for the boys to give to the women they love or the there daughter to have as her proposal ring. In my family tradition is some thing that keeps our family close. We also like to have some new traditions added, but also keeping the same one as they are. If there was to be any change in the ones we already have that has to be approved by the whole family. I would like to keep them all going, just because it is a family gathering and gives people to catch up with each other. It is good for my family and I. Traditions are the best thing s that could be for my family.

Character prior knowledge paragraph about Leonard Mead

In the story "The Pedestrian" Leonard Mead was a type of man who was a lot different from the people around him. He was the one who would go out and get fresh air. He did not own a television like all the other people around his neighborhood. He was a single man, no children, no wife, and liked to get the fresh air. He was a bit quiet and had a character that was strange to others around him. He was a man who enjoyed to walk and get to know people around him. He enjoyed the out doors because he liked to see every view that was great and amusing to him. He was a peaceful person and minded his own business.

Vocabulary Short Story

Once upon a time there were two pirates one was ZANY, and other one was a STICKLER. They were on there way to find the treasure of the old pirate who sunk with his ship. As we all know a good pirate always sinks with his ship. He has a crew who is always BALLYHOO when it comes to the treasure hunts. The treasure is a RELIC that has survived for centuries. It survived through ocean storms and war between two different crews. They always had a parrot to SURROGATE a dog. It was alot better because it was able to fly. One cold, misty night the ship was hit by a wave that crashed into it and broke the ship into half. The thing was they thought that there journey for the treasure was over. They ended up on an island off the Coast of Madagascar. It was not that bad because they ended up on the island that the treasure was on. They digged for days and "CLINK" they hit something. It was the treasure box. They opened it and found diamond jewelry and golden coins. They all shared the money and were all satisfied.

Mouse in the Cafe

Once upon a time there was a small mouse wandering around the cafe where the students at San Pasqual Academy eat. One day, the mouse was getting really hungry. His stomach was growling, and he smelled the nacho cheese that Johnny was making in the cafe. Johnny is a tall retired Naval Officer. It was about two minutes until everyone was about to get out of class to go eat lunch. The moue wanted to take the risk of getting caught. He left his little house and started to running toward the kitchen. The bell rang, so he knew he had to hurry up and get there before he got stomped on by all the students. It was too late! Everyone was walking through the doors toward the food line. "So many people," he thought to himself. He made it to the kitchen without getting stepped on. "Oh man, I am so glad I was not stomped by all these giants that feast this holy food." He was heading toward the cheese and right when he was about to get a little taste of the hot, wonderful, tasty cheese he was hoping for, Aniesha screamed, "MOUSE!" Everyone tried catching him. They tried throwing things, tried to cover him with a bowl, but then they knew that all he wanted was cheese. A worker got a spoon of cheese and put it on the floor, but acted it wasn’t there. The mouse ran toward it and "BAM!" the mouse was caught and put onto a bowl with plastic wrap over it. They looked at the mouse. He had a sad face, and his stomach was rumbling. Aniesha and everyone felt bad because all the mouse wanted was cheese. They let him out of the bowl onto the concrete and gave him a little spoon of cheese. The mouse was happy and began to shyly toward the spoon. He slowly ate the cheese. Everyone was happy, and the mouse was satisfied.

Regressive Tendencies

When Leonard was sent to the Regressive Tendencies was because he was walking around the streets getting some fresh air. The police officer told him to get into the car and told that they were going to take him to the center. When he gets there it would probably look like a plane room with only a couch and a T.V. There would be people sitting on the couch all into what is on T.V and becoming lazy. People who are used to walking around and getting fresh air. They gain weight little by little and feeling more lazy than ever. A room where they first refuse to watch T.V all the time and then get used to it by force.

Purpose of "The Pedestrian"

In the story the pedestrian it was telling us how the future might end up like. The story was telling us how people were sitting in their house watching television. While he was the only person walking around just getting fresh air and just sigh seeing at 8:00pm to midnight. It was also saying how there was only one police car wondering the streets for crime. In there that alone saying that there is going to be less crime do to T.V. During the day the streets would be full with cars driving and people out and about, but at knight people are at home and the streets are empty. So far, what he had predicted is starting to become true and it is not even 2053.

Life in 2053

Today is the year of 2053, cars fling in the air, houses have a nice view because they are floating. I wake up with a three dimensional alarm clock saying "Yajaira wake up, you need to look beautiful for the day." I wake up get ready and have a robot cooking me breakfast straight out of it's stomach. When I go to school I would be riding in a rocket or a car that flies at the light of speed. So if I am late I and I want to take my time getting ready, and I miss the rocket that's takes me to school. So I can just get in the car and get there in the light of speed. Then I go home and do my homework by time traveling to get my answers. I am done so here I go with my next day. A life of fun and easy going times.
