"Research Paper Final Draft."

During the last couple of days I have been researching “how abortion emotionally impacts women?” I searched different web pages for facts that would help me look for stats, the effect, and the background of abortion. I learned that abortion affects people in many different ways whether it was physical, psychological, or even relationship. Women who have an abortion are recommended to go receive help from a therapist. The physical effects can be terminal which can cause them heavy bleeding. When it comes to sex there partner is not interested in having sex. 75% percent of all relationships with an abortion added do not last they break up or get an abortion. For women the psychological effect may be thoughts of suicide or them knowing that they have just killed an innocent life that had just been born. For guys them knowing that they had just lost the chance of being a father or giving the child a father child bond. Women who have an abortion and it affect them they are diagnosed with post abortion syndrome.

The background for abortion is a big history. Abortion has been going on for centuries in many countries including the U.S. A Black woman is three times more likely to have an abortion than a white woman. As for Mexican’s/ Hispanics it is two time more likely for them to have an abortion then a White women. It is also all about money the more money there is the more abortion there will be. The less amount of money; the less abortions there will be. People who are religious always say, “I do not believe in abortion” so they think that they will never have one. That is not true because the religion that has the lowest rate of abortions are Jewish people with 1.3% while Catholic’s have 31.3% of abortions. 52% of women under the age of fifteen account for 1.2% of abortions. There is a lot of background behind abortion that I had no idea about.

There are so many abortions that occur worldwide. Per year there are approximately 42 million abortions. Per day are approximately 115,000 abortions that occur. 83 percent of all abortions are in developing countries and 17 percent occur in developed countries. 48 percent of all abortions facilities provide services after the twelfth week of pregnancy. Most reasons why women have abortions are because they are not ready to have a child or because they are rape victims and don’t want the child of the rapist. 6 percent of all abortions occur because health problems regarding either mother or child and 93 percent of all abortions occur for social reasons. An estimate 43 percent of all women will have at least one abortion by the time they are 45 years old. 47 percent of all abortions are performed on women who have at least one previous abortion.

Women have the choice of having different types of abortion. It all depends on the week or month that they are on. They can have a suction abortion which is when they vacuumed out the child from there vaginal area. They can receive a Curettage which is when they scrape the child out which can cause them to bleed quite a bit. Another example is salt poisoning, they can put it in there drink and when they drink it the baby will die and will be taken out or digested out. Prostaglandin is another example that is used for having an abortion.

Drama Epic & Myth "Odyssey" Assessment Project Final Draft

"Literature Commentary Final Draft."

When people go home they are stuck in some kind of traffic whether it was a flight delay or freeway traffic. On the other hand Odysseus is a mortal man living at the same time as the Greek Gods. Odysseus had to go through a ten year delay in order to go home to get to his wife Penelope. On Odysseus journey, in the “Odyssey” by Homer, he proves that cunning and sacrifices where great aids on his way back home.

Odysseus proves that he was the most wise and strongest out of all his men that joined him on his journey. For example, when Odysseus tricked the Cyclops in thinking that his real name was “Nobody”. This showed that the trick he pulled on the Cyclops was a great trick of cunning because it saves most of his men. This also shows that not only being smart saved his life but it also helped him get things done and solve problems. In addition Odysseus was able to finish his journey and get back home to his wife although he was disguised as a beggar. This shows that when Odysseus got home his disguise as a beggar was cunning in helping him to find out what was going on and if the people around him were still here for him and not the suitors. This also shows that him dressing as a beggar helped him find who were true and loyal to him compared to those who were just trying to be with his wife.

Odysseus was smart and his cunning paid off big time in winning back his household.
Odysseus proves that sacrifice was a huge help in his journey back home. He knew that those sacrifices would be hard for him. For example, when Odysseus had to sacrifice his men in order to get back home. This shows that he would have done anything to get back to his wife but he didn’t want to lose his men at the same time. His men were eaten from flesh to bone till there was nothing left of them by Cyclops and the Charybdis. In addition, he sacrificed his physical affairs with the Circe to go back home to his loving wife Penelope. This shows that Penelope was the women that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. This also shows that his love for his wife Penelope was what he wanted and would give up anything to go back to her. All the sacrifices that he went through were helpful even if one of them could have destroyed his relationship with his faithful wife.

Odysseus was able to make it home safely thanks to his cunning and the sacrifices that he made although they were not always exactly what he wanted. Odysseus was a human just like modern people so having to make decisions and mistakes on his journey back home was an everyday thing. The Odyssey was a mythological epic about Odysseus journey home and all the challenges along the way. What he had to do and give up getting home and seeing his wife Penelope once more. To hold her and never allow her go through that again.

“Romeo & Juliet” Love Letter – Acts 4 & 5

Oh Romeo,

I am being forced to marry Paris. I do not want to but I did meet Paris with Laurence. I went to go see Father and told him that I needed help to get out of it. Father told me that he had a poison that will out me in coma for 42 hours. I agreed to him and he sent you a letter telling our plan. I guess you did not receive it. When I woke up from my deep sleep I saw Father their and he told me that we had to go. I kept on asking him where you were but he did not tell me. Then I saw you on the floor and Father told me that we had to go and I said no. He said that it was all a mistake and ran away. I began to cry and saw a bottle next to you and I tried to drink it but you had drank it all already. I heard people and did not want them finding out. Si I saw a knife in your bag an thought of no choice but to kill myself to be with you and no one else. I truly love you and hope to see you in the after life. To my Romeo you had made my life better than anyone had ever done. Always and forever you will be mine and I will be yours.

Love,
Juliet

Odyssey Part B - Content Paragraph - Women

In the story the Greek women are portrayed as really ugly, sexual, and evil. In the story the women would seduced the men to come to them and then the women would kill them. The only women that helped the men were Athena. That was because she is a goddess and is supposed to help others in need. She is known as the goddess of wisdom. The Sirens were the people who were ugly and sung good. To the men they were beautiful and they wanted to be with them In order to get away from them the men had to put bee's wax in their ears to ignore them and get away safely.

“Romeo & Juliet” Love Letter – Act 3

Oh Romeo,

I am glad to see you but now that you are gone I am not happy. My father is trying to force me into marrying his friend Paris, because he is rich and on my level. I do not want to marry another man because I made my promise to you by marrying you. I cannot marry another man I don't love. My father was telling me that if I do not show up to the church and marry Paris that he will disown me. I don't know what to do. I do miss you and wish you were here with me to comfort me. Why is it that you had to leave. I cry for every moment that you are gone. I wish I could have gone with you and not have to be worried about my family.

Romeo & Juliet Act 2 Content Paragraph - True or Forbidden Love

In my opinion I think that Romeo and Juliet was true love. They got married and knew it was love the first time they saw each other. If the did not love each other they would not bother with each other. Yet that is coming from my perspective. I would get how people would think that it was forbidden love because as soon as she found out that he was a Montague she started to like him even more. That is not the case because she liked him before she found out he was a Montague. It was true love and nothing else.

Oddyssey Part A - Content Paragraph - Heroes and Conflict

Overcoming an external conflict does not really make them a hero. What it does is it makes them think that they are a hero because they had overcome something that was hard for them or someone else. An external conflict can be anything; for example it can be as small as a relationship problem to as big as fighting a creature like the Greek gods did. In my opinion anyone can be a hero. You can save a man's life from a burning building to a nurse or a doctor saving an innocent life of a child that was dying. It all comes down to saving a life or making a dramatic difference in another person’s life.

“Romeo & Juliet” Love Letter – Act 2

Oh Romeo,

Today we got married at the church where father Lawrence made it official. I am glad that I am married to you and you are married to me. I knew that you loved me and you would make the arrangements. I love you my darling and wish that we did not have to hide our feelings. I want to stay with you and not go home. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I love the way you looked and how you were happy to see me when I arrived at the church. The purple that you were wearing looked dashing on you and I thought that it was a nice choice to wear. Oh Romeo, I hope to see you again tonight. I cannot wait any longer but we must. I do wonder what our families would say if they were to find out. I should not think that, they are not going to find out unless someone says something. I want to tell my mother but if I was to tell her there would be so much drama and madness. I do truly love you. During our wedding I could not stop looking at you with a smile. My stomach was happy and was fluttering with butterflies. When I hugged you I was positive I was truly in love.

“Romeo & Juliet” Love Letter – Act 1

Oh Romeo,
The first time I have seen your eyes after you took off your mask I automatically knew that I had fallen in love with you. My heart was beating quicker and my grin became a smile. My heart skipped a beat whenever I was next to you. I was so nervous because I thought I was going to say something but I knew not to so I decided to control myself. When I saw you looking at me when I was dancing and I could not keep my eyes away from you. When I danced with you I felt happy for once. I didn't want to stop dancing with you. Oh my, the kiss that I had from you was love and beautiful. I loved how it was passionate and smooth. When you left I was sad but glad and my heart was warm. I just did not believe how you were a Montague. I know that our families are enemies, but can they take away true love? What will they do if they were to find out? Romeo I do not want to be taken away from you.

Poetry Assessment Project

Life, life life
What about life?
In life, not everything
is what it turns out to be.
Life can be deceiving.
Especially in ones own eye.
Life is like an old toy,
a toy that is abandoned
and not cared for.
Our world that we live in,
it is nothing but drama.
It is a planet full of people,
people who don't care about there atmosphere.
Sometimes I feel like
I live in a jungle.
A jungle full of wild animals.
Like monkey's that swing from vine to vine.
birds that squawk,
and snakes the hiss up from the trees.
Life is all wrong,
there needs to be a major change.
On the other hand
life is beautiful
like a butterfly
hatching from its cocoon.
So beautiful that when it spreads it's wings
life is amazed with glory.
It is also a cycle that can be broken.
Who knows what can happen.
It can be a beautiful day in May.
and ride a bike
on a easy hike.

Figurative Lanuage Content Paragraph - Rhyming Poem

In the night
I see the light.
What might it be?
Should I go see?
This is real bright
Near a twilight.
Oh man this gives me a fright.
I am heading up the hill
In Brazil.
I get a slight chill,
I was untold
That the wind was cold.
"CRACK and KABOOM"
I see a broom.
I began to pray,
But did not know what to say.
Star light.
Star bright.
The first star
I see tonight.
I wish I may.
I wish I might.
Have the wish
I wish tonight.
I am now finished.
For I am going to be vanished.
"POOF"

"Legal Alien/Extranjera Legal" Before You Read

When I am in need of relaxation I enjoy meditating. When I was in my room about a couple of months ago I was really stressed out, but I did not know why. So I decided to meditate and get myself out of this world. So I put on comfortable clothes and closed my blinds and just relaxed. I was so deep into my thought that I did not realize that my staff walked in to check on me and asked if I was okay. When I was meditating I saw a lot of my passed memories and saw how screwed up my life was and me ignoring people and hiding from my problems. When I was trying to open my eyes I felt like I couldn't because I was thinking too much about my problems and how to relax and not worry about things too much. After about 30 minutes of all that I was really relaxed and felt good. I was not too tensed up or anything. I felt refreshed. The thing is that I did not even realize that I was out for that long. When I was trapped it was nothing but reviewing who I was and what I was going through. If I had not done that I would have been really agitated and frustrated with people. That would have made me look ugly. I am glad that I did that because I was a lot better after that.

"Romeo & Juliet" Before You Read (Presentation & Notes)

William Shakespear was a man of talent and a man who earned his way up into fame. When I was reading about Drama I saw that there was more than one type of drama. He began writing plays between 1596-1612. His plays became famous especially the well know Romeo and Juliet. To read and at Shakespeare you have to be dramatic and know how to act. Well at least have some well knowledge in knowing how. If I had the chance to go see one of his plays I would go because his plays are powerful and have well meaning to them. It coul dalso be the last play he could have ever wrote. At first I was feeling all happy because it was a love stiry and when you see two people who like each other and they do anything to be with each other is adorible. At the end of the story I was sad because when they thought eachother was dead that they killed themselves. It was all because of the rivalry between there two families. That was a shame, never keep two love apart because then you can lose ssomething that was valuable to you.

"Ballad of Birmingham" Before You Read

I was about 11 when I had a disturbing event happen to me. I was at school when I heard my father had passed away. I would like to make a ballad for my father. In memory of everything that he has done for me. My father was sick for a while. He was able to come home for thanksgiving but when he came home to have it with us he passed away a couple days when he arrived. I ran home from school and I held him in my arms and cried and cried non stop until the ambulance came. After all that we had a funeral for him and I cried non stop. I did not know how to control the way I felt. I didn't know what to say. The next day he got cremated and his ashes were given to my grandmother then me. I prayed on his ashes every time I saw it. I miss him and will never forget about him. He will always be kept in my heart. I love you daddy, so Rest in Peace.

"I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud" Before You Read

When I look into the orange groves, I always wonder what I will see when or if I go into their. I see darkness and not alot of light. I also see workers who pick the oranges and put them into big crates. I see many orges that grow and the fall. I hear the leaves rustle when then get picked. I hear people talking and a dog barking. I also hear oranges fall. I smell a orchrid scent that smell really good. Mmmmm I do love the smell of it. I feel good for seeing them grow and getting eaten. I feel bad when they grow and then get picked and sold. I feel bad when I get get them because they do not belong to us. I wish that I owned the trees for I can pick them and I can eat them. I wish that they smely better and the odar of the things would go away and only smell the oranges. etting to live among these trees makes me feel proud and thankful because I live near them and they grow and feed me at the same time.

Figurative Lanuage Content Paragraph

I don't really know how figurative language makes me feel but I guess it makes me feel okay. I don't really have a feeling because I never knew we were supposed to have a feeling. I guess it males me feel good because I am learning something that I don't really know much about. In the poem "The Boy at the Window" by Richard Wilbur they were talking about a snowman and giving him some real life emotions and personality's. An example of personification is " Having no wish to go inside and die" is basically saying that if the snowman had a chance to go inside he would melt and die so he does not go in. An example of metaphore in the poem " The Seven Ages of Man" by William Shakespeare is " And then the lover sighing like funace." The meaning of that was when a man sighs it makes noise and the furnace makes a clinking noise and sounds like is sighs after that. An example of a simile in the poem " Tiburon" by Martin Espada is " A long red car stalled with the hood up roaring salsa like a prize shark mouth yanked open." It means The sound of the car is the sound of the when it was being opened. How do you figure out the meaning of figurative language comparisons?
I figure out the meaning of figurative language by reading the poem careflly and trying to figure out what it means.

"Boy at the Window" Before You Read: Silly Childhood Fear

When I was little, I was afraid of stepping on the small animals that were around me. I thought that since I was bigger than them That I would step on them and then crush them. The adults around me told me not to worry about it because they are not going to hurt that much. One time I stepped on a gopher and I was freaking out because I thought I hurt it. Now, I realize, it was silly because it was not hurt and I was just being over sensitive.

"The Seven Ages of Man" Before You Read: From My Rocking Chair

I am at a park sitting with a couple of friends telling stories to one another. A life that I have lived was when I traveled I felt good and when I was done with the areas that I have traveled made me feel like I have lived that part of me and I a beginning to start living another life. When I was a baby and I was learning how to walk was another life that I lived. Another was when I learned how to ride a bike and I accomplished that. Another one was when I learned how to talk and I became a chatter box. Another life I lived was when I graduated from middle school not knowing that I would make it that far. Another one was when I first learned how to jump rope and now I know hoe. Last but not least was when I made it through cheer leading when I was not that interested in it. I lived all those by choice and happiness. All those I was proud of. I hope to be remembered by people seeing the smile on my faces and knowing how excited I was for living through all that.

“Tiburon” Before You Read

A jacket is like a humans coat it keeps us warm on cold days and the fur that is on the bear is his coat that keeps him warm during the winter. In a way the two objects are a lot alike. The jacket is made of cotton which is really thick or thin that keeps our body covered. The fur on the bear is thick and heavy so the bear can keep itself warm during the winter and not have to worry about going into hyporthermia. They both us warm and are very good friends towards us. When I see the manmade object I want to go buy one because when it is cold and I do not have a jacket with me, I just want one to put on to get warm again.

"Kennedy Nonfiction" Content Paragraph

I was in class and my teacher was telling us about a story named "American History." So I went to go get the book, opened to the page and began reading. While I was reading I had no idea that at the time of Kennedy's Presidency there was a lot of racism. He did not like that and was working on fixing the issue. There was a lot of discrimination and bullying going on against immigrants. People made fun of immigrants because of there skin color. Students could not attend in Honor Classes because they were Puerto Rican. The other one was that they had to live in an ugly apartment called "El Building." Understanding History can help me understand nonfiction stories because not only am I just reading I am also learning at the same time. Learning something new is great especially when you have not been taught about it.

Imagery Content Paragraph

The poem That I have picked was (A Blessing by James Wright). While I was reading the poem I felt calm and it felt beautiful to me. I know that beautiful is not an emotion but it is to me. An example of imagery was "they bow shyly as wet swans." It points out loyalty and kindness with love mixed together. The image creates a soft and loving feeling. The bright colorful skies and the horses walking toward me in the pasture. Another example of imagery was "I would break into blossom." To me it says that I want to have something beautiful like the two horses. It creates a happy and calm feeling. Another example of imagery was "her long ear that is delicate as the skin over a girl's wrist." A sense that I got from that was soft. One feeling was happiness and comfort. It shows a lot and it helps by explaining our feelings for us.

Kennedy Nonfiction: Before You Read - Primary or Secondary Source

I would rather hear it from someone who had been an eyewitness to the crime. It is more interesting because you see and feel the way the person felt. Knowing that the person had went through all that trouble and is still willing to share what had happened to them. It is nice to hear about things and wanting to hear more about it with no stop. I think that it is also nice to hear it from the person themselves because if I had any questions I had a question I could get them answered right then and there.

"American History" Content Paragraph

On the other hand I think she should have been more upset the fact that Eugene's mother did not let her in the house just because she was Puerto Rican. It not the child who should not be excepted it should the the person who is discriminating because they want to be like those who want to be snobby. I think that the mother should have been happy that Eugene had met a new friend since they had just barley moved there. Discrimination spread all throughout where she was living. She could not be in Honor classes because she was Puerto Rican. Even though she had straight A's and was very smart. She had to live in the El Building apartments because that was where all the immigrants lived when they had just moved to the US. Another one was that she could not go over to Eugene's house because she was Puerto Rican and lived in the El Building apartments. Once Eugen's mother saw her she told her that he does not need help studying so she should go home. Then the mother closed the dorr behind her. When I was to read this story I was thinking to myself; wow, just thinking about the way they treated immigrants was messed up. I felt that treating people differently should have never came. I felt sorry for the fact that she had to live that way. The way she took things calmly was amazing. I would have been upset if someone was to do that to me.

“American History” Experience with Discrimination

When I was about eleven years old and was in art class. I wanted to sit at a table and three girls said I couldn't because I was not like them. So I just sat down anyway and they got up and moved to sit somewhere else. The table ended up to be the trouble maker table where we all just talked and did art. At first I felt bad because I had never had someone act that way towards me. I was not the popular girl but I was the tomboy of the class. When I sat down and did not listen to what they said I felt like I stepped up for myself. Then when other students came to sit down I felt better because we were all different. It was a great turn out.

“A Blessing” Break into Blossom Paragraph

On February 22, 1995 in the hospital a baby was born. That baby was me. Well my mother was giving birth and I had finally come out. I saw people surrounding me and lots of smiles. I heard people saying it's a girl and she is so beautiful. You guys are lucky parents. I touched my fathers hand and his hand was soft, chubby and big. I felt happy but at the same time I felt loved for the first time ever by my father. It made me feel lucky and glad to know that when I came to the world that I had a family.

Casey Anthony Trial

I can't believe this after 3 years has passed of Caylee Anthony's murder her mother was founded not guilty. That is all wrong, I think that the mother killed her own daughter. After all the science and investigation the jury still said she was not guilty. This women reported her daughter to police 31 days after she was missing. Don't you think that there is some suspicion in whether the mother was lying or not. Man, this is a shock and disappointment to me. Casey Anthony gets no consequence in the murder of her daughter. I still believe in karma and I know that whatever goes around will come back around twice as hard. Caylee was 2 years old when she was murdered. If she was alive right now she would be 5 years old and doing what she loves to do, but no she will never get chance do the things she would want to do. As the news lady, "THE DEVIL IS DANCING TONIGHT." This women is going to see hate all around her. Shame on Casey Anthony and I give Caylee my prayers. Rest in peace. The angles are with you now.
