"Lamb to the Slaughter" Mary's Giggling

At the end of "Lamb to the Slaughter" by Roald Dahl, Mary Maloney begins giggling because she got away with the murder of her husband. She also was eating with the weapon with all the sheriffs and when the detective said "The weapon must be here on the premises and it is probably underneath our noses for that fact." The detective began to finish his food. After the police leave the house I predict that Mary will be taking a breath and say to herself that it was a close one. Then she would begin to notice that she is alone. Then she will cry into tears because her husband is dead, she is alone, and is going to live with the guilt.

  2. Yaya She Did Not Eat With The Detectives She Was In The Living Room. Umm When You Quote Something You Cant Add On Because Whats The Point Of Quoting It. Also After The Detective Left The House, Not Leave.

  3. Nora, why are you writing random capital letters??? It is not cute! Moreover, you CAN add on to a quote. This is called explaining or introducing the quote. What you cannot do is leave the quote by itself.
